In a congratulatory message sent on February 19th, His Imperial Highness, Prince Estifanos Matewos, the President of the United Africa Royal Assembly, extended warm wishes to His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani on his appointment as the new Chairman of the African Union (AU). The message comes at a critical juncture as President Ghazouani assumes leadership amidst complex challenges facing the continent. The President of Mauritania (North Africa) takes over from Comoros President Azali Assoumani (East Africa).
